Signing of contract for construction works at
St. John's Hospital, Enniscorthy.
The South Eastern Health Board Head
Office in Kilkenny was the venue last week for the official signing
of contract documents with Rohcon Ltd. for the development of Phase
1 of St. John’s Hospital in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford.
Phase 1 will cost in excess of 10
million euro to complete and will include extended care wards,
catering, supplies facilities, administration offices, energy centre
and external works including a new access road and junction with the
existing public road.
Speaking at the signing, Mr. Pat
McLoughlin (CEO of the South Eastern Health Board) said:
“I am pleased that we are at this
stage of such a significant project, one that will culminate in a
community hospital in St. John’s Hospital , Enniscorthy. This
project has been the key NDP priority for the SEHB for the past
number of years and has been top of our agenda. This development
will make an enormous difference to the patients and staff of St.
John’s who have been seeking this development for many years. I
look forward to the completion of Phase 1 of the development next
year.”
