The South Eastern Health Board Head Office in Kilkenny was the venue last week for the official signing of contract documents with Rohcon Ltd. for the development of Phase 1 of St. John’s Hospital in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford.

Phase 1 will cost in excess of 10 million euro to complete and will include extended care wards, catering, supplies facilities, administration offices, energy centre and external works including a new access road and junction with the existing public road.

Speaking at the signing, Mr. Pat McLoughlin (CEO of the South Eastern Health Board) said:

“I am pleased that we are at this stage of such a significant project, one that will culminate in a community hospital in St. John’s Hospital , Enniscorthy. This project has been the key NDP priority for the SEHB for the past number of years and has been top of our agenda. This development will make an enormous difference to the patients and staff of St. John’s who have been seeking this development for many years.
