| Chairman Opens Urlingford Health Centre Dr. Finian Gallagher will officially open the newly refurbished
health centre in Urlingford on Monday, 7th December 1998 at 12.30 p.m. The health centre
will be used by Dr. Maher to provide a full range of GP services, Ms. Magner Public Health
Nurse and will also be used to provide accommodation for community welfare services. This
health centre development, which cost £105,000, is part of the SEHBs ongoing
commitment to improving local health services for people.
Dr Gallagher stated that the South Eastern Health Board is
particularly interested in ensuring a quality environment for everybody visiting, working
or providing services in this health centre. The reaction from staff and the public has
been one of appreciation for the high standard of accommodation, not alone in Urlingford
but elsewhere and considerable investment is being made to bring services up to a
satisfactory level as resources permit. I want to express my thanks to all who have
contributed to the success of the project.
Mr. Peter Finnegan, Programme Manager for Community Care
says, "I am delighted that this Health Centre has been developed, but more
importantly so are our patients. All of our patients are now offered the best level of
care in a welcoming environment. I would like to send all the staff of the centre our best
wishes and thanks for their hard work and commitment to patients living in the area. My
thanks also go to everyone who has contributed to the success of this programme especially
the Boards technical staff and the building contractor. I know the people of
Urlingford and surrounding areas will benefit from the high standard of this excellent
health centre." |
