Results
of Professional Members Election for the SEHB are announced. The
results of the election for professional members for the South Eastern
Health Board have been announced. The
successful candidates are as follows: Medical
Practitioners:
Dr. Anthony Neville deSouza, Registered Medical Practitioner in
Preventative Medicine, Clonmel.
Dr. Michael Courtney, Consultant in a General Hospital, Kilkenny.
Dr. Jack Gallagher, Registered Medical Practitioner, Waterford.
Dr. Asam Ishtiaq, Registered Medical Practitioner, Waterford.
Dr. Donal Ormonde, Consultant in a General Hospital, Waterford.
Dr. James Stacey, General Medical Practitioner, Dungarvan, Co.
Waterford.
Dr. Mary Mooney, Consultant Psychiatrist, Kilkenny.
Dr. Patrick Crowley, General Medical Practitioner, Kilkenny. Dentist:
Mrs. Kathleen OLeary, Waterford. General
Nurse:
Mrs. Annette Gee, Waterford. Psychiatric Nurse:
Mr. John Coonan, Kilkenny. Pharmacist:
Mr. Percy Delaney, Waterford. Four
members were elected unopposed - Dr. Anthony Neville deSouza, Dr. Mary
Mooney, Mrs. Annette Gee and Mr. Percy Delaney. John
Magner, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the South Eastern Health Board,
who was also Returning Officer for the election in the South East,
congratulated the successful candidates and wished them well in their
terms of office. He
also paid tribute to the outgoing members who did not put their names
forward for re-election Dr. Finian Gallagher, who had been a member of
the Board for 15 years, Dr. Derek Forde, a member for five years, Dr.
Michael Kelleher, a member for 10 years and Dr. Frank Walker, a member for
five years. Mr. Magner thanked them for their outstanding service to the
Board.
