ADHD Information Leaflet Launched in Clonmel.

The South Eastern Health Board has launched an information booklet on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) describes children who are inattentive, impulsive, and who frequently also are very active at levels that are higher than expected for their mental and chronological age.

The booklet, ADHD – Some Questions Answered, is aimed at parents, carers, teachers and all who are interested in knowing more about the disorder. The booklet provides some useful guidelines on how best to manage this condition.

The leaflet was compiled by the Psychology Department, South Tipperary Community Care, and launched at an open coffee morning on Wednesday, 24th April 2002, in the Hotel Minella, Clonmel.

Copies of the booklet are available from the Psychology Department, Community Care Centre, Western Road, Clonmel. Tel. 052-77000.
