Health Service Executive
A new agency, the Health
Service Executive (HSE), assumed responsibility for the health service in the
Republic of Ireland on January 1, 2005.
As part of the Irish
government's Health Service Reform Programme, the functions of Health Boards,
including the South Eastern Health Board, have transferred to the HSE. The
former South Eastern Health Board is now under the auspices of the Health
Service Executive and is known as HSE - South Eastern Area.
The South Eastern Health
Board website, www.sehb.ie, is no longer functioning as an active site (except
for the press and publication pages). The archived site is still available to
view for public information purposes but please note that information may be out
of date. Up to date information is filed on the Health Service Executive site:
http://www.hse.ie
All references on this site
that refer to the South Eastern Health Board or logo should now be regarded as
